    Timing Chains ?

    2017 Disco 5 covered just 35,000 miles from new

    Sounds like car will be in garage for a week for repairs

    Anyone else had similar issue with such few miles on clock ?

    Mine SDV6 just having new engine at 50k after developing misfire and oil leak....now waiting for two new turbos with no ETA...!

    What were the symptoms? Noise?
    I’ve got a suspicious rattling coming from front of my 2017 model

    Engine warning light on

    Ok ...nothing like that on mine.

    Just a loud rattling on start up that’s audible inside the car ....and two houses away according to my neighbour!!

    The noise invariably disappears after a 20-30 journey ...but it never stopped when just running the engine on tickover during the 30min remote start.

    Seems like something needs to get well warmed up (expand?) to stop it. Wondered about water pump?

    Bit ashamed of my luxury expensive motor when it starts up and leaves the street. Confused

    pretty sure Td6 and Sd6 don't have timing chains....just a chocolate crank shaft
