    Bespoke wood interior.

    I never can understand why JLR has so few interior trim options. All their cars are massive
    hits on aftermarket add-on's.. They do not seem to get the looks the clients want..

    So far I added "wood" to my F-Type. Can't stand the 50-shades of grey standard interior..
    Last year, same thing with my 25t F-Pace.. black is better then grey but why piano black as
    standard, and why make it so hard to change later ? Removing the trim is costly and putting
    it back after wrapping or H2O-dipping costs double..

    So this time ( some trim are fixed almost if they functions as tow bars..), I went for some
    easy to stick-on ABS plastic pre-dipped trim from dear Ali Express..
    So yes : mass production Chinese plastic to make a luxury car look the way you want..
    If its worth while for the Chinese.. ... why not for JLR ???

    Is it a gamble yes : they turn out to have 3 different looks of "dark oak"... Rolling Eyes

    So when I had a PTFE foil fitted and the black spoilers 'teeth' , I asked the guy to have
    a go at the interior parts as it needs about 15C to stick and I don't have a heated garage..

    The teeth.. .. look so good..




    The wood is very hard to photograph..

    Next job : wrapping the whitish front/aft " rock protectors " with black
    PVC to match the black roof..

    Thats the woody bits. There are more versions : walnut and a bright/light wood with dark grain.

    All depends on taste / preference ofcourse.

    Traditional chestnut /rosewood . Probably no more dashboard strips in this color.

    Can you get plain black trims for those of us who dont like the light wood trim?

    It is available. Just look on Ali Express. I have seen it to my surprise,
    I though all cars came standard with black. Until I noticed base "S" models
    have just plain plastic.

    I don't sypply or get it. You have to look on Ali Epress. It took me weeks
    to find all pieces since it is not well described by the chinese.

    You can start with suppliers I posted for the wood. Go to their 'shop' and
    look under 'discovery 5' . Be aware they sometimes only use 'discovery',
    so the parts might be for a discovery sport !!

    Look (make photo's) of the parts in your car you want to cover,
    there are many differences in small details, check 3x before you order,
    Sending it back is not easy and likely more expensive then the parts !

    Check before you order if ALL PARTS are available in the colour you want !
    Since "chestnut" was sold out for the three smaal dashboard strips and you
    end up with half of the interior done..

    Removing the trim is not an option : its too much work, And I would not know
    where to start. Not a DIY job I assume.
