    PTFE bumper protection

    I wonder if any of you had this done, and how it looks.

    My local guy did this, and he works on far more expensive cars then my 2018 D5 SD4.

    But at the same time I think : this can not be true..











    There is a seam across the centre -roughly- of the vertical part of the bumper.
    In the sunlight it looks like a big scratch !

    The line at the edge of the film is usually visible if only part applied to a panel.

    I have seen similar on other cars that have had the PPF applied.

    Hi Jim, thanks for the reply. I have seen the edges, no problem.

    But a seem right down the center of a large vertical plane ;
    they should have done that at an edge I think.

    Don't you agree?

    I guess it depends on the flexibility of the wrap used and whether it can deal with complex curves. But agree aligning to an edge would have been better.

    I complained. The guy had a look, and wasn't happy himself.

    He put it on when it was really dark weather, it his -brightly lit - workshop.

    Daylight is a bitch for imperfections. He will re-do it for free,

    supplier will deliver complete front foil in one piece this time.
