    Intelligent seat fold

I've ordered a Discovery R-Dynamic HSE D300 with a build date late June, ordered in March

I printed the "New Land Rover Discovery Specification and price guide January 2021" assuming that this would be definitive guide to what is included and what (for the HSE) is an extra cost option.

So far so good. I added roof rails, Eiger Grey, towing pack, privacy glass.

But it has occurred to me that the Intelligent Seat fold (fold rear seats from the Pivi Pro or from phone app) isn't mentioned anywhere in the document - either as a standard feature or as an extra cost option.

Would welcome any insights into this! - is it included or not?

Just noticed that the doc mentioned is now dated April 2021 - going through it for any differences - Intelligent Seat Fold still not mentioned

If you use the configurator under Interior > Seating, scroll down and it lists “Intelligent Seat Fold” for £435 - an optional extra on top of HSE spec.

I’ve got it. Wouldn’t personally pay anything for it, but if regularly reconfiguring it might be useful. For me, there is always stuff to move, which means the boot buttons are by far the most useful access to folding. Boot liner, child seats etc. Unless you run around empty, ISF is of limited use.

Thanks for that. So the price list can't be relied on! - I didn't see that one coming!

Good point - Our seats are always covered in coats and stuff - thanks

Had ISF for over 2.5 years now, I didn't pay for it, was already on the car when JLR specc'd it.

Occasionally, couple times a year, I use it to fold all seats, which is never an issue, but for setting up all seats, we have a load floor mat so that has to come out and go in garage before can lift seats 6 and 7, so it does become somewhat limited.

I have not been in a Disco HSE without, so not sure if the functionality to drop headrests and fold seats from the screen in the front vanishes if you don't have ISF. I do know theres 2 of our kids friends that manage to hit the buttons next to the middle row every time they get in and try to lift seats 6 and 7 which are actually powerful enough that they lift including the boot liner and a small bag of junk and push them up against the rear screen! Not so sure how good the sensor is for an obstruction therefore!

I would say mine is nowhere near as good as that. If you put warm cans or bottles in, hours later they are not particularly cool. If you put chilled ones in straight out of the fridge then it keeps them reasonably cool.

Is it worth the money and loss of storage? No....(our iPod lives in the cooler as nowhere else to put it lol)

    Mordred, then yours is faulty.

Mine was faulty when collected the car, replaced free of charge and since then working very well (for 2 years, then car was sold). It effectively did cool quite nicely.

dealer insisted it was working normally, now its out of warranty and doubt extended warranty will cover it! Don't use it so it can stay as it is, turned on all the time but really not doing much lol
