First wash be aware
Just given the 5 it's first wash using a bucket and long brush. It kept locking and unlocking. I understand why but as I was outside my factory I didn't want to put the key fob anywhere except in my pocket and no it wasn't because I was pressing the button it's was because you only have to touch the door handle to either lock or unlock if the fob is close. I was nervous to leave the fob inside the car as it may lock and not unlock. But even at the end of a 4ft brush it still locked.

It should not lock with the key inside, the same as it should not start if the key was outside.

Hi,
And when you wash the bottom of the back wing the tailgate will open if you have "Gesture tailgate".

Oh it does lock with the keys inside I did it a couple of days ago and panicked as I did not think it would open but it did

My BMW constantly locks and unlocks when I spray the door handles if I've got the key in my pocket.
Don't expect it to be a problem on this one, I don't intend to wash it myself.

Gave mine its first wash at the weekend and the locks seemed to operate randomly no matter where I was brushing/leathering. Very strange!

Had the same issue with the car locking / unlocking; mirrors going in and out and tailgate up and down.
At least I can get the tailgate gesture to work now. I just need to tie a sponge to my foot.
