Engine management light
HSE luxury 2018 - engine management light came on LR called came out replaced the nox sensor .. next day driving light came on so another call to LR assist .. comes out comes up same fault so decided time for dealer as could be adblue injector or wire … didn’t reset the light … so hubby drives a mile to gym and nonlight on….fault disappears from phone …
Is this normal..

Common with my Discovery.
I used to reset it myself but can’t be bothered now.
I just let it go away by itself.
The fault code I would get would be demanded value not available.

We've had this before and believe it is to do with the exhaust dpf. As you mention the fault appears to clear itself eventually!! We had one occasion when the engine light didnt dissappear and then got a blocked DPF fault. Took it to the local dealer who said the DPF was clean but they found a bad connection on the wiring loom to the DPF sensors. Fixed the bad connection, cleared the faults and has never played up since.
