Newbie with engine light.
Good Morning,
I have had an engine light appear on my 2017 D5 over the weekend, no known disruption to power or anything like that. Can this light appear due to the car not being driven hard for some time? Am I able to reset the light myself and give it a good run?
I have purchased a LR warranty, but it means a trip to the nearest dealer and I don't have time for that currently.
Any help would be appreciated.
Dan

I presume it’s an amber engine management light rather than a red do not pass go one.
If amber could be a variety of things including faulty sensors. Best phone up the dealership.

i just had that on mine, you need to drive above a certain speed for a certain time to try and clear it. if that fails it will go red then just call LR assist out - they carry the thingmybob that needs replaced as a matter of norm, the dealer told me to call them and it was fixed in an hour
