    Will this light fail MOT?

Hi my 2018 Disco5 in for MOT this week and sod's law one part of the tail lamp on left side has stopped working. Pic attached shows. All other lights ok. Does anyone know if this is enough to fail MOT and is it easily fixed? Different threads suggests it's not a simple job with basic tools/skills :-} Many thanks

Passed the MOT and not even a minor advisory which I was expecting Smile

Anyone know if replacing this tail light that is partially working is a simple job? Not easy to see how accessible it is and if can buy replacement bulb or if whole unit as LED??

    Thanks Confused

I’d assume it’s LED and replace the complete unit. Why not phone up with local dealership and ask them?

This may not be relevant in this case.

Rear offside brake light stopped working. The remainder of the leds in the unit were fine.

Discovered the light unit was half full of water - no obvious cause but assumed it found its way around the rubber light/bodywork seal.

Removed the light, drained it and placed in airing cupboard overnight. Drilled small drain hole just in case at base of unit.

    No further problems.

I would suggest you check if any water / condensation visible within light unit - may be a cheap fix.
