  Blind Spot Detection - fault, system not working

  Four or five times over the last three weeks I've started the engine, pulled away and had "Blind Spot Detection fault - system not working" messages (or words to that effect) on the digital dash.
  
  However, upon switching off and letting the car fully reboot, it'll typically work again.
  
  But a few days later, the fault will recur.
  
  Anyone else had this? Is it a dealer visit to fix? It'll need a service in a couple of months, so will hold off for that if so...
