Spare wheel protector
Is a spare wheel protector an appropriate precaution on the MY22 onwards D5, and has anyone successfully fitted one?
I recall reading that the standard setup had been improved, so wondered whether anyone on here has had both generations of D5, and can shed light on that.

Yes to all of your questions.
LR do fit a protector plate as standard but it isn't very good. The RLD one is much better.
MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added
MY2019 D5 HSE 3.0 SDV6 - sold to a dealer for a crazy price!

They fitted the protective plate and the spring cover tube to earlier D5 as well (my MY18 had these) but I still fitted an RLD protector.
It’s the one I have for sale

Thanks for the info.
Al, yours would be great, unfortunately, the 4 hour / 200 mile around trip is less appealing.
