Th List is Growing! New To Me, Faults ...

The issues on my new to me 67' plate HSE LUX are growing... I'm beginning to regret the purchase. Well over 40 grand and a pretty dismal list of issues...

But I'm an LR fan so I should have known better.

Supplying dealer is having it back to correct some of the issues.

Can anyone help / any advice??

    1. I know that a speaker is blown. I can hear on bass tones / especially when a DVD is playing - there's a massive distortion whenever there's a low tone. I can't live with it. Which speaker in this case is most likely to have blown?? Any way of finding out?

    2. Boot misalign. I have two huge scars on the boot - where it meets the body upon closing. All paint gone - just raw white body showing. What's the fix here?

    3. Rear light unit failing. Water ingress. I guess just a swap?

    4. Blind spot monitor / mirror faulty. New mirror?

    5. Dead wasp in ceiling light. How did that get in there!!!!?

When I had some rear bodywork fixed after a van went up my rear last Feb, the local dealer bodyshop checked my boot and noticed two white patches, one either side - said they'd sort that at the same time, as it was a known fault on the D5 and could be done under warranty.... Perhaps the same issue?

Ah so the boot could be a warranty job so that's good. One ticked off I hope!

If bought from a main dealer they should all be warranty issues as im assuming it was approved used.

Approved used, yes. Already told that the light won't be covered by warranty! But I think they will do it anyway.

The speaker is a tough one. Has anyone experienced a blown speaker?

If the light unit has water ingress thats a manufacturing issue and covered by warranty!

    You'd think so...

I reckoned it was drivers side front.

I think your being taken for a ride.

Faulty windscreens leaking due to insufficient bondage are really common and are getting repaired foc.

Also our rear light cluster had condensation and was replaced without question.

I think it depends on the dealer

I have the boot rubbing on the trim and the same white “scars”.

It doesn’t really bother me as I can’t see that the boot is mis aligned looking sit it closed (it must be though)

Consequences of not getting it done?

Interested to know the same. Didn't really bother me either but I had LR Assist out to look at my wife's RR and I mentioned it to him... showed him also.

He thought I was mad for not having it sorted but didn't say a lot more than that.

I have some of that as well, since I first received it in '21. They have a fix for that? seems like it would have to be entirely reapplied... and would just happen again, unless they've reformulated it or something.

Had it on my D5. They supposedly sorted it under warranty, but it is just as bad again.

Just spoke yesterday to a body shop that I know well, and they said it is a matter of loosening 2 bolts either side of the door opening, and moving the door up about 2 mm.

I may have a go this summer.
