Hi all
After selling my disco 3 and regretting it for the past 3 years I’m just about to go for a 2017 discovery Hse luxury (am I really mad🤪🤪)
It’s got 63k miles with full service history and all the normal toys. I have a few questions though.
1 adblue- where do I buy it and how /where does it top up?
2 GAP iid, can I get one for this model
3 remap - recommended or not and does Bodsy still service the forum/sell the remaps?
I’m sure I’ll have other queries when I get the vehicle
Here’s to happy motoring 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I buy AdBlue on Amazon for a really good rate. Just look for the best price, delivered. It goes in a filler cap under the bonnet, just like washer fluid - just don't get the two confused!
Can't help with the other two. Would never want to remap a car, and servicing and fault code reading is what the dealer's for in my books. DIY and me don't mix.
Good luck, and be sure to post some pics once you get her!

Hi Graham and welcome, Other than normal servicing and mechanicals, the D5 doesn't really lend itself to DIY, it has a totally different 'operating system' to the D3 or D4. GAP only have a very basic tool, you certianly can't do any programming or similar on the D5. JLR use DOIP and there is a fee and specialised hardware required. Unfortunately anything 'serious' and its Indy with the right tech or the stealer. Adblue filler cap is on the opposite wing to the washer filler, its easier to fill ( be very careful not to overfil) with the car pointing slightly uphill! (use the instrument cluster info to judge how much). As for Remap, there's really no need, the D5 is a far leaner vehicle than its predecesors. I would recommend you take out a warranty, repairs can be very expensive! Other than the above, Enjoy your new toy!!

Thanks both, I’m pick the car up on Tuesday-it’s just serviced so the adblue should be topped up! I’ll run it for a while and report back any issues 😱😱

Second the warranty advice. You don’t want to be paying stealer prices for even a minor repair.
