    I didn’t realise that the IID Tool was available for the D5. Does it have all the capabilities it had for a D3 or 4? I’ve still got the one I had for my D3, long gone, but it no gGod for the D5.

    Good question , I’ve been looking for a suitable IID for my D5 but unconvinced looking the the products available.

    Any recommendations?

    I’ve had a reply from Gap IID Tool stating they do an exchange deal if you own a IID Tool 3 but no details of what this will do with a D5. I believe it will work on a D5 but with restrictions but I don’t know what they are. All very confusing…..

    They cannot do the range of jobs as they can on a D4 for example as basically the ability to modify settings is prevented as access is locked and im not sure they are likely to find a way around this. The only use at the moment is for diagnostics and reading live values.

    Thanks for that info. So it seems debatable if it’s worth getting one in my case although I presume it will still do things like programme keys and suspension etc

    Hello,

    Just to add my 2 cents here… the IID CAN update the CCF files the same as it can in the new defender.

    Contact GAP and ask Patrick exactly what can/cannot be done. Normally he is VERY helpful!!
