    Charging system fault

    Morning all
    I had this pop up briefly yesterday, hadn’t used the car for a week or so and it’s been v cold
    3 hour round trip and not seen it since
    Is this an anything to worry about?
    Got a long trip in a months time , getting the Battery and alternator checked but if the alternator was dead surely it would flash up all the time ?
    Any thoughts please

    I’ve had low battery pop up a few times recently. It’s probably because I have the heater of full belt, heated seats, steering wheel, windscreens, lights on etc. etc.

    I just ignore it and it seems fine.

    Had same problem. Often even on long trips the low battery alarm would come on. Start engine. We often take a long ferry and sit in the car initially the dealer suggested that we leave the car and shut down fully. Sitting in the car running phone charges etc runs the battery down. Never had an issue starting car. Short version started to happen daily. Last service asked the dealer to check out the alternator / battery. End of story new battery fitted. No issues since.

    Sounds like the battery
    Fully charged mine with a ctek 5 and no issues since
    Hopefully stays the same 🤞
