  Hi Kierran I had a 2lt for 4 years and the only problem was a leaking wind screen. I think you should try and get a car with low mileage and service history.
  
  I’ve just bought a 21 reg Discovery from a Land Rover dealer, I noticed none Land Rover dealers and private sale’s were similarly priced and some were very high mileage which I would avoid.
  
  Go to a main dealer and try to negotiate a extra warranty, let us know how you get on
