2nd row seats not moving all the way upright

    Hi all,

I'm new to all this forum stuff, please bear with me. I tried putting my rear passenger seat back up today (the middle row, not the 2 at the back). The one behind the driver side (the single seat), went all the way back and stayed in position. The double seat, behind the passenger, moved all the way back, but then moves forward again a few centimeters (like it does when raising the seat all the way at the back). I tried moving it all the way back again, which it does but then moved a little forward again. I can't see anything blocking the seat. I tried recycling all a few times but can't get it to work. Any ideas before I have to book it in?

Normally the seat bases isnt fully located in the right position, it often needs moving forward and back again to ensure it reaches the switches.

If its the seat backrest which is moving slightly more upright, then try using the backrest recline switch to recline it back again. Mine did what your reporting till I found the recline switch on the lower side of the seat. When putting backrest back up, it's doing full sweep then resetting itself to last position before it was folded, that's why you need to recline the backrest back to required position.

If you briefly flick the switch (in the back of the vehicle), rather than a lengthy pull, you can get it to inch back again…..or I can on mine.

Thank you all for your replies. In this case the issue was as Trevorb1 described and using the recline switch I manged to get it all the way back. I never use that switch so I'm not sure how that happened, but the issues is resolved now.
