    Effective mud guards

Hi, I've got genuine LR front and rear mudguards on my 23 discovery and tbh they are pretty rubbish. They don't stop that much of the spray reaching the car especially on the rear window. Has anyone found and fitted rear mud guards that actually stop the spray from reaching the rear window? I would have thought someone would produce both wider and longer guards that produce better protection

Agreed, I'm pretty disappointed especially with the front mudflaps that do very little to protect the side of the car.

I had a set of rally flaps fitted to my D4 which were damned good, unfortunately, they don't yet make them for the D5.

I have the same issue with the official mudflaps in that my nice white D5 doesn't look very white at all most of the time, especially with the roads being rather agricultural up here in the frozen north.

If I can't find any, I'll modify my old D4 ones to fit with some home made aluminium brackets...can't be doing with mudflaps that don't stop any mud or spray, makes them about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike Sad

I have asked Lucky8 for a set and they haven't done any yet. I too would like some longer, rally-style flaps for front and rear. In winter with my Lucky8 rock sliders with tree bar side steps, snow and ice pack up around the bars and make it difficult to get out of the car.
