    Hello! 1st post and a question

    Hi All

    Picked up a MY24 D350 Discovery Metropolitan last week - apart for a few issues with the collection, all has been good.

    I am hoping to drive it to the French Alps in January and wanted to check if anyone has had winter tyres fitted. Did you get a spare set of wheels (and if so what size did you choose (the car currently has 285 40 R22 tyres) or just swap out the tyres?

    I got rid of the 22” rims and moved “down” to 20” rims. 2 sets… 1 with Goodyear Duratracs and 1 with General Grabber AT3s


    I am very happy with both!!

    I wanted AT tires, and you cannot get any proper AT tires on 22” rims

    It is assumed that you are aware that from the 1 November 2024 the Winter Tyre regulations for France changed. See https://www.europe-consommateurs.eu/en/tra...urope.html

    A set on General Grabber AT3's 255/55R20 on my D5 pulled all the stuck vehicles (including the milk tanker wagon) up this hill last week.



    They seem to be a reasonable choice as winter tyres. Cool
