Hi all, New owner of a 2017 HSE Lux.
Had the windscreen replaced already as the last one leaked.
They fitted a new screen but now we are between Christmas and it appears air bubbles in the rain sensor are causing me issues..
I can probably wait and take it back to the compmay which fitted the screen but I thought I would take a look. After getting the assembly off I can see the sensor but dont know how to unclip it.
Any one got any advise? The chap who fitted my screen was most helpful but his last words were oull it off an peel it down.. I'm not sure I shoudl go any further unless someone can give a little more info as to how to uncliip this....
Not having ever pulled this component apart….can it be pressured from inside, against the windscreen to squeeze the bubbles out without peeling it down? Maybe locally warming the outside windscreen with a hairdryer?
I’m wondering if it’s similar to putting a protective screen on a mobile phone and getting a bubble? Every time I attempt to remove and reseat those, I end up with more bubbles, necessitating a new protector.
