Towing. Brake controller and sway bar
Hi members.
Looking for any input regarding towing over 5000lbs. Are you using a brake controller. Also a sway bar.
My D5 is fitted with all the factory towing bells and whistles. Tow assist etc.
Just not sure if I need a sway bar and or a brake controller.
Any input / advice greatly appreciated.

This was posted a while ago so I assume you figured it out but anyone looking at this in the future. The Discovery 5 has electronic sway control, so you don't need a sway bar. The auto leveling suspension also means you don't need (and shouldn't use) a weight distribution switch. You do however need a brake controller for heavy loads.
The American Disco 5 apparently has a weak electrical circuit for the 7 way plug, so depending on your trailer and electrical needs, you may need to get that circuit professionally upgraded.
