Power Adjustable Steering Column Issues
I have a 2019 LR D5 HSE Lux with the Dynamic package if that makes a difference, and recently I had to move the steering column to start the car since the key fob battery was to low to be recognized. When I used the small knob on the side to adjust the steering column out to access the spot where you hold the key fob, it would only move a small amount with each press of the knob in any direction. I recall when it was new I could just hold the knob and it would move continually, but now it takes a dozen presses to get the column from one extreme to the other. The car battery was replaced by Land Rover last year and it is fully charged, so I don’t expect that is the issue, and the car barely has 37k miles and is always garaged making me want to rule out corrosion or similar given I live in the desert. Has anyone seen this at all? My searches of other forums have proved fruitless. Thanks!
