    I found the C1 professional very difficult to source. Some online places stock it in 1l containers, I don’t think I could find 5l. I think it’s because the dealers will buy it in drums and the 1l containers are intended for top ups.

    Anyhow, Halfords sell the non-professional 5w30 C1 version which says it meets the required JLR standard. Unsure and unable to find any real description of the difference between pro and non-pro, I eventually called the customer service number on the a know the bottle and asked for the technical department. To my surprise I got through to a really helpful guy who seemed to know what he was talking about. He basically said the ‘pro’ and non-pro both meet the exact same technical specifications and the pro is more or less just marketing.

    Based on that I’ve just been using the standard edge c1 and an official JLR filter for my 5000k changes.
