That makes sense. Although I think the 2016 D4 Landmarks were better fitted out with options than the pre facelift D5 Landmark models... Did they have a pre facelift Landmark version of the D4 back in 2014 or was that the change over from D3 to D4?
Can't remember... I was driving a TD5 Disco 2 back then and didn't get my 2015 D4 HSE until 2021 when it was already 6 years old.

I'm thinking maybe the 3rd headrest hasnt been folded before lowering it. Will have a look today at some point.

It was just the 3rd row Headrest jammed. No probs. This weekend i'm hoping to get into the car and understand the infotainment system and how i get Apple Car Play working, and also interior lights. They don't come on when opening the car or drivers door, so going to look at that, as its really dark inside when getting into the car for passengers in the 3rd and 2nd row (not so bothered about me getting in drivers).

IIRC the lights are activated by touching the main interior light cluster, holding finger there for 3 seconds.
Thats if all specs carry the touch sensor up there.
Someone / anyone will be about soon to shoot me down or confirm

Thanks and yeah I think your right. Yeah the lights work when I touch them. But I would expect them to come on when I’m getting into the car.
Maybe they don’t.

Having to read a manual.
Not natural
Front interior courtesy light: To switch on or off, touch the centre of the lens briefly. To switch automatic illumination on or off, touch the lens until the light flashes. In auto mode, the lights illuminate when a door is opened.

Yup, they work fine, all much the same so just pick one that has a decent write-up. I've got a couple of mid range priced ones that had good reviews, I paid £40 each from Amazon, one paired to my phone...and one paired to my son's phone which I leave in the cubby tray for the odd occasion he drives the Disco. They've both worked flawlessly in the year I've had them.
Ottocast dongle
My phone automatically connects to the car when it's in bluetooth range, I don't even have to take it out of my jacket pocket. A lot better than plugging and unplugging it with a usb cable every time. Gives seamless Android Auto or Apple Carplay connection, most of these dongles are dual format.

Ahh so these can only hold 1 persons phone details for auto connections. Good to know.

Yup, they're just a bluetooth version of a USB cable so they only work with the phone that's paired with it. There's no delay or lag either...like I said, pretty seamless for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay so well worth buying a couple of them if your wife or anyone else drives the car. My son has an iPhone whilst I'm on Android, both work fine.
I keep a spare curly USB-C cable in the compartment under the cup holders in case I need to charge the phone on any long journey, it's just a matter of unplugging the dongle and plugging in the USB cable. The dongle stays paired with the phone (and the car) even if it's unplugged.
I tried a Qi charging pad with the phone in the car that fitted nicely in the flip-up tray (I've got a fridge in my centre box) under the centre cubby box lid so I could charge it without plugging it in but my bombproof rubber phone case stops the Qi pad from working...

I've tried a couple of these dongles, they all seem to work ok.
I settled on this one:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/r.html?C=3P5NB...asin_title
Works the same as the others, but it's the only one I could find that allowed two phones to be connected.
It connects automatically to the last phone connected, but a button press then makes it connect to the second phone which is registered with it.

I believe there is also an iPhone version, although I haven't tried it.
