Damn, yet more toys that won't fit in mine with the rear air con. Neutral

Who the heck carts all those bottles around with them? That’s what the garage shelf is for. Wink

That said, I will order one to see how many of the essentials I do cart about will fit in …that aren’t bottle shape!

    EDIT. Don’t bother!!
The tray doesn’t really hold much and actually restricts the available space to some degree. I still need to use a container for items that won’t fit in that recess, so I might as well just use the lift out container for everything.

The only good thing about this exercise is that I have discovered items I forgot were there and others that don’t need to be there…so the container size can come down. The tray will be returned to Amazon.

I’ve got something similar to this https://www.amazon.co.uk/HOTOR-Car-Boot-Og...th=1

I find it easier to put everything in one lightweight easily removable container….at a 1/4 of the price and 3 x capacity of the other unit….whats not to like?

I got one of these from eBay...which doesn't fit in the Bling Barge as shown in the pic since I've got rear air con which fills the recess on the left hand side of the boot. Rolling Eyes

I ended up just chucking the bag against the 2nd row seat backs... Does the business though, keeps all my bits and bobs in one place without sliding about as I'm charging about the farm roads up here. Besides having enough space inside to keep my CTEK charger, battery booster and other tools, there's plenty of little straps and pockets on the outside to shove pliers, snips, Torx screwdrivers and the complimentary tin of WD40 in as well.

Overall...the bag gets a big thumbs up from me Thumbs Up

Was having a browse around looking for a decent boot organiser and found this one from from Land Rover. Sadly, it's an official Discovery 5 accessory (Part Number: VPLRS0355.LRC) so it's definitely not on the cheap side.

Mrs Mole has decided we need one since she's always moaning at me for me filling the boot full of bags with tools, battery chargers and cleaning gear which makes it look untidy...I think the phrase she used as she was putting shopping bags in the boot the other day was "It's like a tinker's caravan in there." So, she's issued a firm 'suggestion' that I raid my computer bits piggy bank and buy one. Rolling Eyes

It's certainly very tidy looking but the only issue I have with it is that I'll have to take it out to access the under floor storage compartment or the spare wheel winch. I don't use the 3rd row seats so that's not an issue.

Cheapest I found one was £200 (price includes VAT and a fixed £60 large item shipping charge) at LR-Parts (linky) who I rate highly for their prices on all genuine Land Rover or aftermarket parts and accessories. I've been a regular customer since my first Disco 2.

I'll take some proper pics when I've got it fitted.

The official Land Rover Disco5 boot organiser arrived today...Mick, our local delivery guy wasn't too impressed with the struggle to walk across the farmyard and trying not to get blown over to Norway with the storm force wind catching the huge box it came in. Luckily, it wasn't heavy. Laughing

Once the winds die down to a dull roar and I feel like venturing outside without risk to life and limb...I'll get it fitted and take some pics. It's a tool free fitting, only a couple of straps through the D-rings on the floor of the boot to hold it secure... so, easy 10 minute job (hopefully). Thumbs Up

Looks good, but how much of a PITA will it be if you need to access the jack & spare wheel?

    MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - sold....MY2019 D5 HSE SD6 - sold

That's my only bugbear...but it's quickly unclipped and slid out with practically the same ease as the heavy duty rubber boot mat I currently have. I'll see how it goes as to how useful it actually is before I decide whether I keep it fitted or go back to the rubber boot mat and bags of tools taking up space in the boot.

It's also likely to be impractical if you need a flat loading area for sliding in large items with the 2nd row seats dropped since it raises the entire rear floor area behind the seats quite substantially.

It was bought at my wife's insistance...so I can always blame her when I have to drag it out to lower the spare wheel, get into the battery compartment or transport a chest of drawers she's bought from someone on the island. Laughing
