TPMS Query ?
He is a very random question and probably one that no one has noticed.
I only saw this as I have a slow puncture at the moment and the TPMS alarm comes up, all good works well keeps me going, going to get it fixed this morning.
I have my target pressures set on heavy load as it is a commercial loaded and always towing, why does the target pressures change while driving ? Rears start at 50psi and rase during the journey to 54 recommended, I know actual pressure increases due to heat but why the target pressure in the brackets ? Does the system measure speed and air bag pressure, what other factors is it looking at ?
Someone clever on here might know/
Also while I am typing any ideas why the radio volume turns itself up no input from me, I think is poss a crushed wire in the secret cubby with the display front.

SFAIK, it changes due to the temperature of the air inside the tyre. They always tell you to inflate tyres when the tyres are cold, but if you think about it, most people have to drive to a garage to do it, so it adjusts what the pressure should be based on the current temperature.
Happy to be told I'm wrong, but I don't think so. Once spoke to a tyre manufacturer offering free pressure checks in a car park, and I asked them how they get away with doing it as people have been driving and the tyres aren't cold. They said they make an adjustment based on the tyres being warm.

The sensors measure both pressure and temperature and change the recommended pressure to be correct for the current temperature.
