I'm only at 55k miles, not sure the water pump and cam pulleys are essential for replacement at this stage. Things I can do myself if we decide to keep it as the long term utility vehicle. You don't need to preach to me about parts - I'm happy to use non-LR parts from a trusted brand (like Pagid brakes etc).

Didn't mean for that to come over as preachy as it reads, guess I should have read the post back to myself before I clicked the submit button...apologies JBF.

Heh no worries, I'm all for self maintenance and quality aftermarket parts. I'm keeping up the dealer servicing as we're still potentially going to sell it in the next 12m and maintaining a full dealer history will help - but anything else I'll do myself,

So just had mine done, also had the camshaft sprockets replaced at the same time as a precaution. No extra labour charge given they basically have them unbolted anyway.
I asked them to put the old belts and sprockets in the boot so I could take a look at them and get an idea of condition. The belts looked almost new. I'm at 56k miles and think they probably could have done another 50k without a problem. Sprockets looked fine too although I appreciate microscopic fractures that lead to sudden catastrophic failure probably aren't possible to eyeball like belt condition is.
