Inner tailgate not working
My 2017my 5 has an issue with the electric inner tailgate. It basically doesn’t work unless you move it manually.
Any chance someone has had the same issue and might assist.
Many thanks in advance.

I had a similar issue - but I could hear the motor trying to move the lower tailgate.
On dismantling, it turned out the arm (on the LHS) of the tailgate had broken - so basically the motor was trying but had nothing to move against.
Found a great reseller on ebay selling new inner tailgates off brand new Police and Ambulance as they remove them before entering service.
Think the big question is - do you have any signs of noise from the motor when trying the tailgate button - as if not - suspect it's an electrical or motor issue which I don't have much experience with.

Thank you for the information. I have no noise at all so as you say, sounds like either the motor (most likely) or the fuse. I’ll have look and let you all know what I find.
