Transmission issues
Hi,
The Discovery 5 that I have recently bought has the following issue - when engine / transmission are cold, reversing out of my driveway over some uneven ground the car comes to a halt and will only creep forwards or backwards if the revs are at least 2000 rpm. Once on the move (on reasonably level ground) the vehicle begins to operate normally. When engine / transmission are warmed through you can reverse over the same piece of roadway at virtually tick over revs. With the engine / transmission cold I have tried switching off, waited and tried again, but the problem still remained. It appears to be a temperature related problem.
The vehicle has done 93k miles, and has had a recent transmission fluid change. My next thought is to double check the transmission fluid level.
Has anybody else experienced a similar transmission issue?
