    HSE Lux - Aintree Green

    Hi Folks,

    Just an initial post to say that the wife ordered a D5 back in October/November time and it has just been released from the factory having been sat at Quality Control for 6 weeks! Seeing the recent posts I'm not too sure if that is good thing or not...

    Hopefully she'll take delivery soon but I'm not holding my breath!

    She's ordered TDV6 HSE Lux in Aintree Green with Glacier interior with a electronically deployable towing bracket, fixed side steps and black roof rails.

    I did suggest to her to add the Dynamic pack and Ebony interior but that got left off.. Laughing

    Anyway here's to a swift yet safe transportation up the M6! Does anybody have any experience on how long that will take? I'm guessing vehicles are delivered to the dealerships in a batch.. So it'll be subject to vagaries of the variables!

    LR allow 1 week to transport the car to the dealer and 1 week for the dealer to prep the car and conduct the PDI.

    Hopefully you will get the car quicker than that though.

    Lets hope so!

    I'm actually getting a little excited now even though I'll not get to drive it all that much.. Reading though the forum doesn't help though. Very Happy

    I have been looking out for a transporters loaded with JLR vehicles on them heading up the M6, For a couple of days in March I saw them heading northbound whilst on my way to work in the morning. Which I suspect was a push to get them to the dealers before the April VED rise.

    Mine arrived at the dealers around 4 or 5pm last Tuesday picked up next day at 10am. No problems. I think because of the fuss I made they had ever one on standby Laughing

    Whoop its on a transporter and on its way! Collection should be next week..

    The dealer needs it for 24 hours to fit a couple of bits and do the PDI. There is also the small matter of paying for it the day before they release the vehicle.. Luckily the wife's business is paying for it!

    Just a quick update to say the wife picked it this morning.

    The roof bars are on back order for it, so they've not been fitted yet. When they come into stock the dealer is going to pick up the car up and fit them. (They were added to the order after the spec was locked so they were always going to be a dealer fit ,,)

    Pics to follow later.. Needless to say it looks good!
