How about a square plate dead centre of the car and a GB plate or similar to the left of it to balance out the badging to the right?

Yes, I think the standard plate suits it best. You need something to fill the void, which the square plates don't do. Plus you could always go totally plateless like her Majesty does

Standard plate looks the best, no question about it.
Gerry who gave us the rounded Discovery's.

OT:
Soon will he give us a new Defender as well... I wait in fear. Because he has done it before.

In my opinion this looks better because the mounting panel is colour co-ordinated and not painted black. The square plate doesn't look right.

Hi Andrew,
I think you have nailed it on the last pic same as the namib orange one. Both plates in same place except one has black insert.
Eventually I will be able to put some pics up here from Aussie plates.

Rear plate - bespoke size supplier
Guys,
I was one of the 'WTF is that' back plate dis-likers, but managed to find a plate supplier (Fancy Plates.com) who supplied a shorter plate (470mm x 152mm) which does not interfere with the curvature of the backplate enclosure and I am more than delighted with the end product.

Where on the site is that?
Have you a photo of yours on the car?
Cheers
Jim
