I was wondering if anyone else with an HSE could assist in answering this question.
I have an HSE with Ebony Windsor Leather seats and the dash soft panels, door cappings etc are trimmed in a kind of matt ebony faux leather material, so far so good.
EXCEPT that the soft trim around the start button to the left of the instrument binnacle which is trimmed in something different to the rest - it seems to be covered in ebony 'Leather', ie, not matt finish - it's similar to the seat leather in finish.
Is everyone else's the same? seems odd to have one small panel trimmed in something completely different unless it was deemed that this would get touched more than the rest of the trim but that doesn't really figure as the doors get touched way more than anywhere else anyway.
Thanks Stu
Door panels and all trim across facia are same material - Matt leather rather than the semi-polished seats and armrests. Now I look I see the brushed aluminium
trim above is badly fitted ☹️
Martin - adding pic from an iPhone 6 with ios10.3.2 works fine.
Difficult to get picture to do it justice. On left of screen, trim is flush with gloss plastic of vent housing. Right hand side has 5mm gap between aluminium trip and vent housing and does not lay flush.

Part A on mine is badly fitted as is yours (sticks out proud on the left end by around 5mm)
Part B on mine is completely different material to the rest of the dash and door trims.
On mine the seats are Windsor leather which has a soft sheen but the door cards, armrests, soft dash panels and door cappings are the faux or Matt leather type material (is it leather?) except for the part B which is different to the other panels. Most odd.
Will post a pic if I can later but in the meantime I labelled your pic instead.
