    Tyre sizes and fuel economey

Do narrower tyres make much difference to the handling and fuel economy.

I have 22's 275 40 22. With a side wall of approx 110. They drive well on road but are poor off road
    The 20's generally are 255 55 20 with a side wall of approx 140.
    And 21's generally are 275 45 21 with a side wall of approx 123

Looking for something better off road. Will probably get 21's

I've got the 19" alloys and it doesn't handle as well as the car on my test drive which was on 21", feels a bit more lofty on the road but nothing extreme.

As for fuel economy it's not something I pay much attention to, but I went from 19 to 20 on my D4 and didn't notice any difference.

Yes. I would like 20's as good off road and. Not easily damaged. But suspect 21's will be a better balance and maintain the tight handling that I have on tarmac with my 22's

I had a look at them.

Originally I thought about black and doing a DIY black pack. I think the black and Orange looks good. But now I'm thinking silver along with the roof rails.

Russell, not helpful, I had it all sorted in my head I was going with a silver theme Laughing

    So I will need

    Alloys
    Mirror caps
    Side vents
    Grill
    Roof bars - possibly

    I may leave the roof.

Side vent and grill I would plastidip spray. Use proper paint on door mirror caps and wheels

2017 Discovery Td6 HSE Lux Carpathian Grey

I love the look of the dark gray 21" wheels but I decided the 20" was the smartest wheel for my occasional off-road use. And the roads here are rough at times and I figured the extra rubber would help soften the ride.
