    When it finally arrives!

    Our D5 First Edition is 'on the boat' according to our dealer.
    I have with interest (and baited breath, sometimes) been following the comments, troubles and tribulations of all those who have contributed to this site.
    There would appear to be at least a couple of Lemons in the mix of vehicles plus other assorted issues that keep recurring.
    When, at last, our trusty steed ( Whistle) arrives in late July/ early August, are there 'things' I should get the dealer to check carefully prior to handover? eg software/ firmware updates, particular mechanical issues etc.
    My D4 SD V6 which I've owned for last 5 years and 120,000 miles was fine for me with only a minor oil leak fixed under warranty.
    We live in rural Australia and I do a lot of on call, particularly at night, to a hospital 25 miles away so I'm not going to be impressed with a breakdown at 3:00am! (Should've bought a jeep!😳)
