  Handbrake fault.

  Came out of the pub last night around midnight I had parked the car right up against a wall. Wife gets it (she dosnt drink so it falls on my shoulders to drink for both of us) into reverse, just a horrible grating sound, she tried several times with no luck. I then suggested I try because I clearly start the car and move it into gear in a more athorative manner anyhow it worked. Not tried it today as just remembered. But worrying.

  My D3 had issues with the EPB, which gave a loud screeching sound when trying to release, but never experienced any problems on the newer cars.
