    2017 Discovery Td6 HSE Lux Waitomo Grey

    My new Waitomo Grey D5

    Picked up on Friday the 28th, trading in the 14 RR. Promptly drove 700 miles to Colorado same day, averaged 26.4 mpg. Will give my thoughts at later date, but wow!, really nice truck, don't think I'll miss the RR. Broke it in going up to Paradise Divide at 11250 ft, love the diesel off road.

    I'm also keen to know what these tyres are.

    I've ordered a Carpathian Grey HSE Black Pack 20" and was thinking Cooper LTZ or Nitto Terra Grappler G2 in 285/50R20 or BFG KO2 in 275/55R20. Just don't know what will actually fit without rubbing and whether the full-size spare will fit.

    Any advice will be most welcome.

    275/55-20 should fit fine - the new Disco SVX wears that size (Wrangler DuraTrac I believe). that size is 0.9" wider in diameter than the 255/55-20 OEM. The fit for full-sized spare will be tight, but it will fit.

    GY Wrangler DuraTracs are a bit too beefy for my needs - I've run Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar on previous vehicles and they're tough as nails, not significantly heavier than the OEMs, and you don't sacrifice too much in terms of road handling and fuel economy.

    BFG TA KO2's are good, but they're soft and my guess is they'll wear quickly in on-road driving, but many swear on those for good all-seasons, even in deep snow.
