HSE Lux - Dubai
Just ordered HSE Lux out here in sunny Dubai which will be my first LR
The specs and packs are slightly different here and the dealer group tend to order models in bulk with same options in a selection of body/seat colors. Here goes on mine ! ......
3.0 Si Petrol HSE Lux, Ebony seats, Ebony headlining, Gloss charcoal oak, black rails, 20” 1011 alloys, 4 Zone climate, cooled seats, Adaptive LED, drive pack, activity key, terrain response 2, chilled front storage, all electric 7 seats (7 seats is an option here), surround camera. Plus all the standard bits. Not decided on tints yet, most cars here come with standard windows and they are then tinted to your level of choice by the dealer, lots of schools of thought and can range from nothing to almost blacked out all round. 5 years / 150,000km warranty and 5 years / 65,000km servicing is standard.
Should have it in a couple of weeks or so and very much looking forward to it ! Currently driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee here and had an X5 back in the UK before I left.

Very excited now ..... Had my handover confirmed for Tuesday next week. Will be a new experience for me as it’s my first LR. Here in UAE they have a dedicated handover centre with specialists who own the handover process rather than the sales staff. I was surprised to receive a form today to fill in containing all of my initial detailed preferences for the vehicle settings, also requesting details of my phone including s/w version and giving me instructions around app downloads prior to handover so they can get it all working. Quite a nice touch something I’ve never experienced with a new car before. -

We get none of that over here. If we buy a Range Rover we can pay LR extra for a personal handover experience at the factory.

I get the impression they do it like this because of the number of vehicles that go through the dealership, the sales guys would spend half their day doing handovers if not. I have to say the whole process has been refreshing here compared to my experiences buying cars in the UK. I just hope I don’t get any of the issues that many have seen. I don’t fancy breaking down in the middle of nowhere on a road trip with my wife, who wanted to keep the Jeep -

I got the same service from my dealer and a number to contact direct if there were any issues or questions
