    Front winch

    Hi guys
    I'm new here so please go easy on me...lol
    Does anyone know where/who does a front winch kit for the D5

    Ours is a work tool and used daily when we get called out.....pics to follow when I work out how to post them.

    My dealer (Bob Moore OKC) investigated this for me before my Discovery was delivered. According to them, the winch kit that was in Utah, was a one off, entirely custom, one of a kind. Was not air bag compatible, let’s face it LR has given up on real world off roading. I will attempt to find correspondence with dealer and post.

    Let's wait to see what the new Defender looks like...the New Disco is more like a "safari" vehicle, and still more capable than just about anything else off the lot. Government safety regulations, much like emissions regulations, are taking the fun out of owning fun cars. But I suppose they're necessary, and hopefully automakers will adapt and innovate.

    The Defender should be a more direct competitor to the Wrangler Rubicon here capability wise, and a more hard core off-roader. Hopefully they offer some options like winches and snorkels from the factory...that's about the only way a winch could be certified airbag-compliant.

    I got the reply below from Devon 4x4 when I asked them about developing a winch mount, and it seems that they are concerned about warranty issues.

    We have quite a few enquiries regarding a winch mount for the new Discovery

    At the moment we are not making anything due to warranty with car etc, I will keep your email and get in touch as soon as we have made a decision
