    Gesture tailgate

Having a powered tailgate is great.
However I am having problems with the gesture control.
Is there anyway of disabling the gesture control?
Every time the dog or I go near the rear of the car the tailgate opens.
OK this only happens when I have the key with me - but most of the time I am wanting to go out in the car, so yes I have to have the key !!!
Have a had a couple of near misses in the garage - just catching the tailgate before it hits the wall.

    Thanks

I don't think it's possible to disable gesture control.

I was chatting to one of the LR tech guys at my local dealership the other day and he mentioned that there had been instances where either the sensor/s were faulty or had been positioned incorrectly which lead to animals setting off the tailgate.

Apparently there are two sensors for gesture control - one under the car that senses the top of your foot and one in the bumper that senses the shin area of your leg.
