    Discovery models with V6 diesel before 12

    Land Rover Discovery models with V6 diesel engines made before 2012 may have a fatal flaw that causes crankshaft main bearings to fail.

    I'm not posting this on D3/4 site.

    The same failure has been reported in post-12 engines as well so perhaps the problem hasn't gone away.

    It's a Ford engine & the fact that they are using it (2nd generation) in their new F-150 suggests to me they have fixed it.

    The latest Range Rovers with the 3.0 have been suffering problems. Noticed a few when browsing the FFRR forum.
