Gearbox...something I found out today...
So this might be true of the D3 and D4 and any other auto vehicle...but never realised before....
When accelerating hard in sport mode on the motorway on a Sunday morning and you then decide to switch back to D...and for some reason you forget and click three times and not one so its now in reverse....
you keep accelerating (and don’t end up with a gear box, engine and drive shafts all over the tarmac...thankfully)...
Score 1 for electronic intelligence...and zero for my ham fisted knob twiddling...

Even a D3 from 2005 would protect you - chucking it in reverse at 70 does nothing.
