You obviously won't appreciate me saying this BUT... The D4 looks Old all of a sudden, When you see one every day maybe it stays the same but after driving round in a D5 and looking at it all the time, seeing a D4 just looked aged and angular.
D4 owners love the angles i know, As for the 2.0 V 3.0, some, in fact most on here say that they can't tell the difference. I can, The noise of the 2.0 litre engine is greater than the 3.0 litre, I think it rev's more, it's more clunky at the bottom end from the gearbox and in the mid range it feels less robust.
there are plenty on here though who love them, On paper there's not much in it. but for me the real world driving experience and the fact that the next car i have will probably be battery driven meant that this one needed to be how i wanted it to be and the 2.0 just didnt quite feel right,
The problem you have now is that once you have tried the new one every one you see out on the road you will be picturing it sat on the drive.

I agree with with Chalkys HSE comments, the 3lt is silky smooth and is effortless when driving. I when for the 2lt which for me it was the right choice. It's a little cheaper to buy and run and the money saved I put towards a black pack.

I am not ready to change yet from my D4 but spend many hours on autotrader - and find looking st used D4s depressing as the dash looks so ancient. Then I remember that the D3 I had briefly was 8 years ago now and the replacement has to last at least 3-4 years. Cannot face looking at the same dash for more than ten years... So currently hoping to get a D5 maybe next year
