4 way flasher symbol glowing red when car parked & locked
Just noticed that the 4 way flasher button was glowing red when I went to check on the car at night. Any ideas? It’s a 2018 HSE, only had it a couple of weeks. Slightly paranoid because I had a Disco 4 HSE for 5 years and it had a catalogue of electrical faults before I traded it in.

You have every reason to be paranoid - you must have the same disease as I do. Every time I show up at the in-laws something electronic will break while I am there, I don't even have to touch it!
It might be a warning light related to the alarm? I think the D4 has something red flashing on the dash when locked and alarmed.

Good news - I think!
My dealer has advised me that the red (hazard) light glows if you try the door handle without the keys in your pocket? It allegedly denotes an attempted entry. Not sure who it’s supposed the frighten. My only concern is why has it suddenly started doing it. Oh well must’nt grumble at least this Discovery wants to start unlike the other one which required 3 new batteries in 18 months - two of which required calling out the Spanish breakdown services. They implied that a small army of breakdown staff are employed at many of the airports in Spain jump starting Land Rovers & Range Rovers parked in long stay car parks.
