    Centre Entertainment Screen Hazing Over

Has anyone had centre entertainment screen haze over with purple or green tinges? Had it happen about 3 x times over the last 5 months, once the vehicle is restarted again, the screens go back to normal again.

    Thanks Jack

I've not seen this on a D5 screen, however it looks very much similar to when you get a faulty connection to a display or monitor. As the connection handles Red, Green and Blue signals (i.e. RGB), then a dodgy connection on one will cause this sort of look. Sounds like it happens when the display is warm, so that would also confirm this might be the cause.

Had it many a time with displays and monitors and it can be caused by a faulty cable, or a dodgy connection. Most definitely a workshop job I feel.

    Hi Roger,

It happens when it’s cold, normally when it’s been left overnight in the garage.
I don’t think it’s done it yet when vehicle has been hot.

At least it’s not a common fault ( have put it on 3 x D5 sites so far and no one else has the same problem yet...)

It’s not really a Land Rover unless it has some annoying electronic gremlin to remind you.........

The other good thing is I have another 4 1/2 years of warranty “ to let it develop “

    Cheers

Yes its just the CRT warming up. I understand they found some old stock and fitted to some vehicles that they shipped overseas Rolling with laughter

    Hi
I’ve seen this 3 times in the past 3,5 months on a MY18 HSE
After restarting it is back to normal - going more or less in parallel to the radio and/or navigation just stopping to work Sad
