    Difference between HSE Luxury and First Edition

    Hi,

    Shoot me down in flames if this subject has already been discussed, I have tried searching the forums.

    I am D3 owner and looking at getting a D5 (probably second hand)

    Looking at D5 with HSE Luxury Spec, plus extras i.e. electronic deployable tow bar/side steps/privacy glass, but trying to work our if the first edition might be a better choice. Rather than a well specified HSE Luxury.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Matt, if you require exclusivity then the FE is the one too go for. (Limited too 600 units in 3 colours).

    Also has the £1600 premium metallic paint option as standard in Black, Orange or Silver.

    However if your after the DTV, and dual view screen, you will not be able too get, as the car was not specced up with them when built. You may well be able too get an aftermarket unit fitted though if TV is a requirement ? (Car was pretty much locked down on the builder).

    You do have rear seat entertainment and the ability too play dvds though.

    I originally specced up an Hse Lux, but i was more expensive than the FE. As the FE had all that i required, i went for that instead. (However it never came with the DTV and dual view screen, which i assumed it did, as was advertised) Crying or Very sad

    I have a FE, had it since March 2017, fantastic vehicle, excellent spec, but sadly no Adaptive Cruise Control, which I was really keen on. Apparently not available as a retrofit.

    Sorry to dig up an old thread, but after much contemplation (since my original post in February this year) I have taken the plunge and ordered a new D5 HSE Luxury with the 3.0 SDV6 306HP Engine.

    Gone - 2016 Discovery 4 3.0 SDV6 HSE Luxury Corris Grey // Gone - 2007 Discovery 3 2.7 TDV6 SE Stornaway
