does anyone use the Intelligent Speed Limiter
I find it very useful, my only gripe would be it is not on by default, and reverts back to the standard speed limiter after every restart - not so intelligent.
That aside, its very useful
anyone else use it ?

Not so intelligent when it suddenly mis-reads something it thinks is a road sign and decides that the speed limit has just changed to 60 in a built up 30mph zone.

so far my sign recognition has been 100%.
The system also uses the navigation system to determine speed

SWMBO uses it all the time (as she suffers from a lead right foot
It's a great driving aid I think.
Me? I like to live dangerously so don't use it

Found it a little painful, especially in 20 zones that are on,y part time or when you get the countdown signs to a lower speed limit. I tend to just set the cruise control in 30 and 40 zones instead!

How does it work? Stop you accelerating above the precise limit? Can you set a 10% buffer?

+1 for how does it work? All I get is an annoying symbol flashing, it doesn’t actually limit the car’s speed.

Not all models have it. The basic speed limiter just stops the car accelerating above the speed set by the driver and warns you if the car does exceed the set speed.
The intelligent speed limiter links with the speed sign recognition system to automatically change the set speed. It also works with the adaptive cruise control so theoretically you could just set it and go to sleep (especially if you also have lane keep assist).

It reads the road speed limits and adjusts this on your dash speedo - you can't exceed the shown speed although you can set an 'increase' amount in increments of 1 mph by pressing the SET+ button. If it detects a lower speed limit, say 30 from a 40, it automatically slows the car down.

Strange, as mine reverts to the adaptive speed limiter when you restart (if the LIM button is set on] - you just press the RES button and on it comes

Yep. That’s how it works.
Need to try the press resume to see if it both switches over to and activates the intelligent limiter

Doesnt the adaptive speed limiter need to be enabled first on the instrument pack menu? I think its under driver assistance or something
