Rear seat entertainment
Does anyone have issues with the rear screens? I've had problems with the RSE since I got the new D5, I've just had the latest update with ACP etc but it's still problematic. The list is extensive of scenarios where it won't work and with 2 kids I thought it would keep them quiet, far from it.
I'd be interested to know if anyone else has problems.

Mine don’t work at all, since I have the latest update. They reinstalled it already 3 times, and the car is now going in, again for a whole week, to have it fully checked, no high hopes.
Before it worked sometimes, sometimes not...
I get the message ‘rear media not available’.
Other thing: when I put the engine off, all screens start to reboot over and over for 3 minutes and than everything shuts down.

Did you get a resolution to this?
Just picked up my new car today that has the latest version (including car play) but can not get the rear entertainment to work.

Nope, they needed another 2 weeks, so it’s still at the dealer.
They ordered a new rear screen module and hope it will work after the replacement. In total it has been in already 4 weeks to have this fixed and still waiting. Became quite a useless car, unfortunately.

So the issue with mine is that when you:
1. Use the remote to select a source (which it does show) it does nothing
2. Use the front console to select a source it doesn't show any sources
Is this similar to your issue??

Never used the remote, but yes, no sources was our first problem (or a ‘corrupted’ message came up). Sometimes the sources did pop up, mostly not. If I put the screens off and back on again, individually, I had the best chance that the sources were found, or not greyed out if found. Later on the whole system went off and I got the message that rear entertainment was not available and all the screens (even front middle one) started rebooting all the time.
So it started like you, but ended in a complete failure, reason it’s been in, and only for this failure alone, 4 weeks in total and still 2 to go before the new pieces arrive.

Mine has very similar issues, the most recent one is if I can actually get it to select a source only one channel of audio works so you can hear background music etc but no words.
It's booked in for the 30th but from this thread I don't hold out much hope if it being resolved.

Mine is all fixed!!!
They had completed the front of the car to phase 4 but left the rear at phase 3.
Now both are phase 4 and it works like a dream!

Cheers pal. Its a late 2016 disco 5 I only bought it yesterday to be picked up next week. Is there a way to see what version you currently have at all?
