    HDMI Woes

    Hi,

Please can someone verify if this works in their HSE Lux:

Plugged an Amazon FireStick into the front HMDI port along with the USB C power cable. On the front screen I selected source as HDMI. FireStick displays on screen, so far so good! When you start to play any thing the sound quality is terrible and distorted. That's the first problem.

Second problem is with the rear entertainment, when we select source as HDMI nothing happens even though HDMI output/content is visible on the front screen.

We have tried moving the FireStick and USB power to both of the rear HDMI and USB ports but it's the same problemon the rear. You can see HMDI in the source menu but nothing happens and there is nothing on the front screen either.

I'm starting to thing i'm expecting too much from a £65k car! Big Cry

Given you can't stream NetFlix etc from the iPhone due to HDCP i'm starting to think the HDMI ports are useless.

    Penny for your thoughts please.

    Update:

I have had the latest update installed. S18C

The good news is the FireStick now plays on both rear screens which is an improvement. However the sound quality is still really poor.

    Hi,

Not really I got a bit better after 18C update, but the sound is still choppy.

I’m waiting to see if 18D is any better.

It’s crap really, I can’t think of many HDMI applications, so surely someone should have tested a FireStick

Well thats just rubbish eh. Im going to try a chrome cast later today.

Can you watch the same content on the rear screens? I know the version I have I can select to watch the same input on both.
