That's a beauty, congratulations! Loire Blue (which I guess that is) was the colour that was pulled by JLR on the day I tried to place my order, so I am just a touch jealous

Not sure where to post this, but im pleased to say i brought a 2 year old D5 HSE TD6
Just need to find somewhere to get a tow bar fitted
There is a tow bar on E bay at the moment
looks like Al beat me to it.
I have the detachable one and love it, looked at the elctric one but the cost was eye watering and my dealer said they have had lots of issues with eletric ones so steered clear.
They are fairly easy to fit and any one with basic mechanical skills should be able to do it at home.
Basically the rear cross member unbolts and the tow bar replaces it. The elecrics are plug and play to a point.
They work but if they are not enabled the parking sensors keep bleeping when trailer connected (just turn them off manually) certain suspensionterrain responce things dont operate automatically and the trailer reverse parking system doesnt work.
None of these are major issues and dont affect the driving so you could fit and then get the electronics update next time the car is in the dealers.

Dont think you can without the electrics fitted.
However as I said they appear to work without being activated except the auto stuff which is no real issue

Having had both the RRS HSE and the D5 HSE Lux in the last couple of years I can tell you the D5 is a better option. My wife prefers the look of the RRS but likes the drive of the D5 more.
As for the Tow bar I have the electric one and so far so good its great for occasional use. I have seen them second hand I guess of crashed cars they sell for around 900 and at that price not bad for the money.
Swmbo likes her RRS and my convincing it is very similar inside is not cutting it
we (I) am hopefully arranging for a 2 day loan of a D5 HSE so that will be the real decider, just not sure when it is going to happen.
Friend has just changed from a RRS to a D5 after coming out in my D5, he prefers the D5 over the RRS with no questions.
