  Roof bars without rails

  My Disco doesn't have the roof rails and the cost of adding them at this stage is putting me off. However it would be handy to be able to carry the odd ladder or borrow a roofbox occasionally - are there any roof bars that don't require the rails and has anyone any experience of them??
