Tried to do that but when i put in VIN it says car already has an owner.
Contacted Land Rover and they said pop into nearest dealers and they should be able to register me as new owner
Was going to do that this week when i get time
Would that stop the car from even connecting to my app ?
Need to ask about updates to as i am not sure if i have latest version.
Connected by wi fi to my phone hotspot but cant find a CHECK UPDATE button. Is that within InControl Apps part that i am unable to connect to?

Which App are you talking about? If it is Land Rover Apps then that is useless and I beleive dropped or being dropped as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are now available. -

Probably best to ask the dealer for the infotainment system to be updated for you.
Just say that you are having problems with the screen going blank, cameras not working occasionally.
These are all known problems with the old software.
If you have not seen those problems yet, you will!!

Popped into local dealers this morning and asked about the software.
The update is a recall so its going in in a couple of weeks to be done
What is not so good is they want £50 to get my Remote app set up with this car as they need to change ownership on the system. -

Never heard that mentioned on here before.
Let's see what others who have bought used have to say about that.
I am sure if they had been charged they would have posted the question.
At the moment then the previous owner still has online access to your car!!
Let's hope they do not decide to unlock it!

Got it from a thrid party company and not a LR dealer.
I sold my Disco Sport a couple of days before to WeBuyAnyCar as they offered me more for it than what the local LR dealership offered me to trade it in and i still have the Remote app connected to it and can also lock/unlock doors and start engine etc.
I can see it on the map parked up at British Car Auctions in Nottingham. -

Went to another dealer in the next town and they will set up Remote app free of charge after i pointed out the security flaw in allowing a previous owner to unlock and start the engine..
Was not aware i could release my previous vehicle online so i am off to do that now -

Yer it was the full screen map i was hoping for.
Anyway i am happy enough with Android Auto but now since update i cant get the Rear Media to work
When i push the Source button i just get a blank page without any options.
Anyone else had this problem?
